Frequently Asked Questions
All the gifts in the catalogue are essential services and assistance that HAGAR provides to serve women and children who have suffered severe trauma from human trafficking, slavery and abuse. Each gift is integral to the recovery and reintegration programmes that HAGAR runs in Afghanistan, Cambodia, Singapore and Vietnam, to restore the lives of survivors, enabling them with skills and capacities so they can stand on their feet again.
And, they too are the exact wishes on the hearts of the women and children - items that they hope to have in order to live a new life. When you purchase a gift for a struggling child or woman, you are helping to fulfill a wish for something that is truly needed and that will make a positive difference in their lives.
Certainly, although it would be most helpful if you could allow HAGAR the flexibility to assign the gift to the country that has the most dire needs in that particular area.
If you would really like to give to a specific country, please inform us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org by forwarding your online order confirmation and let us know your country preference.

Since the escalation of the global healthcare crisis, HAGAR has been responding to the needs of clients by providing essential food assistance, medical treatment, COVID-19 healthcare essentials, increased counselling support via digital platforms and critical economic assistance to those who have lost their jobs or income. Unfortunately, many HAGAR clients have lost their livelihoods and are struggling to provide for their families. Helping them to survive the pandemic and this economic crisis remains a top priority for HAGAR as we continue walking with them through their trauma recovery.
It is definitely our goal to ensure all survivors get the adequate help they need in their journey to recovery. HAGAR Singapore will find all ways to get the financial support to buy these essential gifts for all the children and women under our care.
We need your help. Please help us spread the word to your friends and contacts who may be interested to support these survivors in their recovery journey.
In the event where we receive more donations to buy gifts for a particular cause than what is needed, HAGAR will channel the funds to make up for the shortfall in donations for other equally critical gifts to the survivors. This will ensure the most urgent needs of survivors are adequately met.
Your monthly support of $50 will provide a survivor with:
• Access to safe accommodation and legal protection
• Trauma recovery and healthcare assistance
• Education and economic empowerment
• Community reintegration support
HAGAR pools donations to provide critical recovery services to as many survivor victims as possible. Your regular support will enable HAGAR to walk the whole journey of recovery with these survivors until they become fully restored physically and emotionally, and can stand on their own feet again. We are committed to do whatever it takes for as long as it takes to restore a broken life.
Recovery from such extreme abuse and trauma takes time. Therefore, your regular contribution is the BEST gift of help to any survivor of human rights abuse.
