Recreational Therapy for Kids with Trauma
Help a child unlock her creativity to spur the process of healing.
Play helps children develop by stimulating their thinking and motor skills, and promotes social development. Children who have experienced trauma may struggle to manage their fears, anxiety or stress in a group setting and act out against others. Recreational therapy uses painting and drawing, music, or sports to allow children to express themselves, their hopes and fears, thereby encouraging recovery.
